Welcome back, Shit Givers.

Something new today — an open thread! Huge thanks to beehiiv for upgrading the comments infrastructure so we can do these.

Another piece of admin: the email you use to subscribe to this email and any others is now called your  Important ID

You’ll use it to login anywhere you interact with our work (including our upcoming new app).

Open Thread!

A major pillar of my theory of Compound Action involves voices, ideas, proven policies, and corporate progress intentionally being carried over time and people, breaking down (bullshit) barriers between individual and systemic action.

So I’m excited to introduce our new monthly Open Threads.

I’ll share some topics that are on my mind below, but feel free to come with whatever’s on your mind, what you’re working on or struggling with, what you’re reading, or have questions about.

As always, I’m disproportionately more interested in getting to the bottom of what’s happening and why than staying on top of the latest breaking news.

The more active these discussions are, the more of them we can have.

The more civil and constructively we behave, the more helpful they are to more readers.

Quick note: Comments are open to everyone with an ✨ Important ID ✨ today, but in the future, you’ll only be able to comment if you’re a Member.

What’s on my mind today:

See you in there!
