
Welcome back to the most cathartic thing I make.
Itβs my birthday, and Iβm traveling for my wifeβs movie, so I thought it was as good a time as any to share some BTS self-care. Itβs definitely been a little while β things have been absolutely batshit crazy, obviously β but, if youβre new to Not Important, or need a reminder β weβre not going to talk about any of that here.
This newsletter is where I get to share my favorite books, music, apps, games, recipes, snacks, movies, TV, gummies, whatever (Members can peruse previous editions on the website).
I will admit that my previous format, organized by category, felt occasionally too rigid for what is supposed to be the most relaxing thing I make, goddammit, even if it made it easier to read. So my recommendations are now just one list, called βGood Chemicalsβ. Maybe Iβll add some relevant emojis if I have the life force to find them, youβre welcome.
But Iβve also added a new community-sourced section, called βReader Reliefβ. Weβve already got some great ideas below from Members, and Iβd love to include more of how you cope in the year of our lord 2025 β what youβre reading, watching, cooking, playing, or making with your bare hands.
