Happy Wednesday, Shit Givers.

🚨 Join me TONIGHT at 7 PM EST (yes, in 3+ hours) to phone bank with our friends from the Environmental Voter Project and Citizens Climate Lobby. We’ll do a quick training and then hit the phones! (go)

(Can’t make it tonight? Sign up for a shift from November 1st-5th!)

PS — Haven’t actually made your WCID profile yet? It takes less than a minute, is free for 30 days, and you just need your phone and ID! Get started!

Let’s go.

— Quinn

  • Volunteer: Once again, join me TONIGHT at 7 PM EST to phone bank with our friends from the Environmental Voter Project and Citizens Climate Lobby. We’ll do a quick training and then hit the phones! (go)

    • (Can’t make it tonight? Sign up for a shift from November 1st-5th!)

  • Learn: RMI's research finds market-driven solutions that align with a clean, zero-carbon future. Get their reports, analysis, policy briefs, and more. (go)

  • Donate: Climate-vulnerable communities in the South are building resilience with the Deep South Center For Environmental Justice through collaboration with researchers and decision makers on projects that free people from environmental harms that impact health, jobs, housing, education, and more.(go)

  • Learn: Use the Heat Action Platform to learn about and advocate for reducing the impacts of extreme heat in your city. (go)

  • Be Heard: Did you know people generally can’t use SNAP benefits on hot foods? Did you know shit like this turns me into vigilante Batman? Join the movement, call your reps (go)

  • Invest: Great news, it’s not actually that hard anymore to make your investment portfolio much more sustainable. Check out Earthfolio to get started. (go)

  • Volunteer: Oh look it’s our friends from Environmental Voter Project again, fascinating fascinating. Peer pressure works. (go)

  • Donate to disaster relief. Remember, all we get to choose is how we respond. Keep showing up. (go)

  • Invest in climate solutions. We have to rebuild everything from transportation to buildings to how we literally make cement. Put your money where it counts. (go)

  • DEMOCRACY. Democracy is far from perfect, and the US version is wildly out of date (at best!), but it’s also the best of a lot of not-great options. You love to see so many people throwing their resources at preserving what we’ve got. Let’s go.

    • Donate to democracy. (go).

    • Volunteer for democracy. (go)

    • Learn about democracy. (go)

  • Volunteer for mental health. I am so thankful to be able to receive mental health care when I need it (so, all the time). Showing up for others is about as good as we can do. (go)

  • Buy e-bikes. They’re selling like hot cakes for a reason. (go)

  • Get Funded: Scientists can use Experiment to crowdfund their research, and donors can browse hundreds of projects to fund the research they want to support (go)

  • Learn: Use Power to find clinical trials that are relevant — and accessible — for you or a loved one (go)

  • Donate: All kids deserve access to the outdoors — City Kids Wilderness Project has a wild success rate in helping kids graduate high school and go on to college or vocational training by getting them access to nature and thinking about their life’s purpose (go)

6 days to bring this home. Every single vote, every single day matters. Never, ever give up.

Remember — you can save actions for later with an WCID profile! Thank you as always for giving a shit.

— Quinn

Was this WCID action update helpful?

  • Hell yes
  • Pretty pretty good!
