Welcome to the week.
We ran a poll a week or so ago asking if you had ever considered running for local office, and nearly 40% of you said you had, but felt you lacked experience. If that was you, we have great news!
Tomorrow evening (July 15th) from 8-9 EDT, our friends at Run For Something are hosting a virtual event to launch their new training and mentorship community and support system for people who are thinking about running for local office. Join them!
This Week
Have a great week,

What's the biggest barrier preventing you from taking more action on the issues you care the most about (climate, AI, healthcare, etc.) in your daily life?
Last week, we asked: Do you use or rely on childcare in any capacity?
You said:
🟨⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️ Yes (16%)
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 No (84%)
“My partner and I both work from home and have arranged a schedule to care for our kids at home while managing our work. We felt like childcare was too expensive and we both work jobs which require us to be available after hours, so it didn’t seem fair to send our kids to childcare all day only to have us needing to work after dinner anyway. I wish there was a better alternative for part-time childcare but it’s usually not much cheaper than full-time. ”

New Shit Giver Joel is here because: “science of nearly all types tickles my curiosity bone. When scientific material is presented, I almost always have a question that pops in, be it simple information, textbooks, reporting or research. I truly was made to want to know more.“
Love it!
